YWAM (Youth with a Mission)  was started in 1960 by founder Loren Cunningham. YWAM Budapest is one of the many bases which are found all over the world.

YWAM Budapest offers a Discipleship Training School (DTS) that is a 5-6 month school. It is the foundational school that is part of the University of the Nations. The  ywam DTS is an intensive school that helps students look at their own walk with the Lord through teaching, evangelism, team building and a long-term outreach! We have also pioneered a School of Worship (SOW), which takes the Discipleship Training School (DTS) to the next level. This school teaches students all forms of worship. Soon, we will offer a School of Biblical Studies (SBS) to help students build a more solid foundation in their personal Christian walk with Jesus.

As a YWAM base we serve in Hungarian Outreach evangelism by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ. Our base offers Youth Ministries through our Coffee Bar and English Club.

Currently, we are in need of dedicated Christian volunteers to join our YWAM Central European team. We have voluntary positions available on our base ministries, as well as our training department. Serve God on the front lines of missions. Complete a Discipleship Training School (DTS) program and become eligible to staff in our Coffee bar, English club, administration or evangelism team. interested in joining our team? click here for more information

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) - Budapest is a dynamic missions community made up of followers of Jesus from around the globe. We come from varied cultural, social, and educational backgrounds, each bringing a unique mix of giftings and experience . What we do have in common is a love for the nations, the desire see Hungary and it's surrounding neighbors reached with the good news of Christ, hope to see individual lives saved by God's grace, and a radical faith to believe it can be accomplished.

We are linked to over 800 similar YWAM operating locations around the world in over 145 nations, sharing a common set of values all aimed toward toward one goal: To Know God and Make Him Known.

The ywam budapest four cornerstones of our ministry are:

  • Prayer & Intercession
Our philosophy is that "being" is more important than "doing." Our own relationship to God - personal and corporate - is of primary importance among all the ministry we do. Then, as we seek the Lord for His wisdom and guidance we are better able to cooperate with what He is doing.

  • Evangelism
At the heart of our ministry is the desire to communicate the truth of God's love and forgiveness to those who do not yet know the one who created them and gave his very life for them.

  • Training & Equipping
We aim to see young Christians grow closer to God and mature in their faith. We hope as well to see them discover their giftings and apply them in a real ministry setting.

  • Releasing and Empowering
Our goal is to make room for the younger generation as they grow in their faith. The multiplication of the Church can best happen when each member is encouraged and given the freedom to live out their God given calling and destiny.

More about YWAM-

youth with a mission ywam logoYouth With A Mission is an international movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Also known as YWAM (pronounced "WYE-wam"), our calling is to know God and to make Him known. Back when we began in 1960, our main focus was to get youth into short-term mission work and to give them opportunities to reach out in Jesus' name. Today, we still focus on youth, and we also involve people of almost every age (even many people who choose to spend their "retirement" in active service). Our many ministries fit into three main categories: evangelism, training and mercy ministry. We are currently operating in more than 1000 locations in over 149 countries, with a staff of nearly 16,000.

You will find God will stretch your faith and challenge you to go deeper in love with Jesus. click here to learn more about the DTS and how you can become part of this growing youth movement.

Youth With A Mission is all about shining the light of God's love and forgiveness in this city of history and beauty. the need is great, the opposition is real, yet doors have been opened that the mystery of Christ may be proclaimed.

The purpose of SOW is to bring biblical perspective, training and understanding as we explore together how and why we worship God. We believe that true worship can cross the socio-cultural barriers that exist today among people and nations.
